SOME OVERHEARD ADVICE FROM PAST ROUNDS
Eddie Bergeron commenting on a question to him about Video Golf: I don't enjoy playing video golf because there's nothing to throw".
Joe Rotolo commenting on A. G. Guidry' golf game. His remark: "The flags on the green ought to be at half-staff".
Gary Morris asked Mickey Lassere what he thought was his hardest shot in golf. Mickey's reply: "The hardest shot is the chip at 90 yards from the green where the ball has to be played against an oak tree, bounces back into a sand-trap, hits a stone, bounces onto the green, and then rolls into the cup. That shot is so difficult, I have only made it once."
Al Martin asked O'Neal Mitchell's advice on a particular putt. O'Neal's reply was: "Just keep the ball low."
Joe Nuccio overheard talking to Robert St. John: Golf is a game in which the ball lies poorly and the players well."
